Saved To Serve || Prophesy Again Pastor Andrew Henriques www.prophesyagain.com Jews Lives Matter or Muslims Lives Matter? Time To Trouble Babylon & Make Them Angry. Jesus Obeyed The Law For You. Jesus Will Obey The Law In & Through You. Mark of The Be@st vs Mark of The Father
1. “December 16, 1848, the Lord gave me a view of the shaking of the powers of the heavens...The powers of heaven will be
shaken at the voice of God… I saw that the powers of earth are now being shaken and that events come in order. War, and rumors
of war, sword, famine, and pestilence are first to shake the powers of earth, then the voice of God will shake the sun, moon, and
stars, and this earth also. I saw that the shaking of the powers in Europe is not, as some teach, the shaking of the powers of
heaven, but it is the shaking of the angry nations.” {EW 41.1}; {EW 41.2}
2. There are many precious truths contained in the Word of God, but it is "present truth" that the flock needs now. I have
seen the danger of the messengers running off from the important points of present truth, to dwell upon subjects that are not
calculated to unite the flock and sanctify the soul. Satan will here take every possible advantage to injure the cause. {EW 63.1}
But such subjects as the sanctuary, in connection with the 2300 days, the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, are
perfectly calculated to explain the past Advent movement and show what our present position is, establish the faith of the
doubting, and give certainty to the glorious future. These, I have frequently seen, were the principal subjects on which the
messengers should dwell. {EW 63.2}
3. Thus the message of the third angel will be proclaimed. As the time comes for it to be given with greatest power, the Lord will
work through humble instruments, leading the minds of those who consecrate themselves to His service. The laborers will be qualified
rather by the unction of His Spirit than by the training of literary institutions. Men of faith and prayer will be constrained to go forth with
holy zeal, declaring the words which God gives them. The sins of Babylon will be laid open. The fearful results of enforcing the
observances of the church by civil authority, the inroads of spiritualism, the stealthy but rapid progress of the papal power--all
will be unmasked. {GC 606.2}
4. By these solemn warnings the people will be stirred. Thousands upon thousands will listen who have never heard words
like these. In amazement they hear the testimony that Babylon is the church, fallen because of her errors and sins, because of her
rejection of the truth sent to her from heaven. As the people go to their former teachers with the eager inquiry, Are these things
so? the ministers present fables, prophesy smooth things, to soothe their fears and quiet the awakened conscience. But since many refuse
to be satisfied with the mere authority of men and demand a plain "Thus saith the Lord," the popular ministry, like the Pharisees of old,
filled with anger as their authority is questioned, will denounce the message as of Satan and stir up the sin-loving multitudes to
revile and persecute those who proclaim it. {GC 606.2}
5. As the controversy extends into new fields and the minds of the people are called to God's downtrodden law, Satan is
astir. The power attending the message will only madden those who oppose it. The clergy will put forth almost superhuman efforts to
shut away the light lest it should shine upon their flocks. By every means at their command they will endeavor to suppress the discussion of
these vital questions. The church appeals to the strong arm of civil power, and, in this work, papists and Protestants unite. As the
movement for Sunday enforcement becomes more bold and decided, the law will be invoked against commandment keepers.
{GC 607.1}
6. It is more palatable to human nature to do penance than to renounce sin; it is easier to mortify the flesh by sackcloth and
nettles and galling chains than to crucify fleshly lusts. Heavy is the yoke which the carnal heart is willing to bear rather than bow to the yoke
of Christ. {GC 567.3}
7. They were taught not only to look to the pope as their mediator, but to trust to works of their own to atone for sin. Long
pilgrimages, acts of penance, the worship of relics, the erection of churches, shrines, and altars, the payment of large sums to the
church--these and many similar acts were enjoined to appease the wrath of God or to secure His favor; as if God were like men, to be
angered at trifles, or pacified by gifts or acts of penance! {GC 55.3}
8. The papacy is well adapted to meet the wants of all these. It is prepared for two classes of mankind, embracing nearly the whole
world--those who would be saved by their merits, and those who would be saved in their sins. Here is the secret of its power.
{GC 572.2}
9. He [Martin Luther] related his own painful experience in vainly seeking by humiliation and penance to secure salvation,
and assured his hearers that it was by looking away from himself and believing in Christ that he found peace and joy. {GC 129.1}
10. Luther was one day devoutly climbing these steps, when suddenly a voice like thunder seemed to say to him: "The just
shall live by faith." Romans 1:17. He sprang to his feet and hastened from the place in shame and horror. That text never lost its
power upon his soul. From that time he saw more clearly than ever before the fallacy of trusting to human works for salvation,
and the necessity of constant faith in the merits of Christ. His eyes had been opened, and were never again to be closed, to the
delusions of the papacy. When he turned his face from Rome he had turned away also in heart, and from that time the separation
grew wider, until he severed all connection with the papal church. {GC 125.1}
11. Several have written to me, inquiring if the message of justification by faith is the third angel's message, and I have
answered, "It is the third angel's message, in verity.” The prophet declares, "And after these things I saw another angel come down from
heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory." -- The Review and Herald, April 1, 1890. {1SM 372.2}
12. Through the imputed righteousness of Christ, the sinner may feel that he is pardoned, and may know that the law no
more condemns him, because he is in harmony with all its precepts. It is his privilege to count himself innocent… By faith he lays
hold of the righteousness of Christ. . . . Knowing himself to be a sinner, a transgressor of the holy law of God, he looks to the
perfect obedience of Christ, to His death upon Calvary for the sins of the world; and he has the assurance that he is justified by
faith in the merit and sacrifice of Christ. He realizes that the law was obeyed in his behalf by the Son of God, and that the penalty
of transgression cannot fall upon the believing sinner. The active obedience of Christ clothes the believing sinner with the
righteousness that meets the demands of the law. {SD 240.4}
13. The righteousness by which we are justified is imputed; the righteousness by which we are sanctified is imparted. The
first is our title to heaven, the second is our fitness for heaven.--Review and Herald, June 4, 1895. {MYP 35.2}
14. The expulsion of sin is the act of the soul itself. True, we have no power to free ourselves from Satan's control; but when
we desire to be set free from sin, and in our great need cry out for a power out of and above ourselves, the powers of the soul are
imbued with the divine energy of the Holy Spirit, and they obey the dictates of the will in fulfilling the will of God. {DA 466.4}
15. They may be cleansed by faith in his blood, sanctified through obedience to the truth, and glorified by the power of God
to shine in his everlasting kingdom. {ST, April 20, 1888 par. 8}
16. Only those who are clothed in the garments of His righteousness will be able to endure the glory of His
presence when He shall appear with "power and great glory." {SD 368.3}
17. I also saw that many do not realize what they must be in order to live in the sight of the Lord without a high
priest in the sanctuary through the time of trouble. Those who receive the seal of the living God and are protected in
the time of trouble must reflect the image of Jesus fully. {EW 71.1}
18. The thought that the righteousness of Christ is imputed to us, not because of any merit on our part, but as a free gift from
God, is a precious thought. The enemy of God and man is not willing that this truth should be clearly presented; for he knows that
if the people receive it fully, his power will be broken. {GW 161.1}
