Psalms. 40:8

Joyful Worship “ I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart” -Psalms 40:8 *********** -God is worthy to be worshipped because He is our Creator (see Revelations 4:11; Isaiah 43:10-13, 21; Luke 4:6-8; Daniel 3). ************ -Angels, apostles, and all God’s true servants refuse to be worshiped (see Revelations 19:10; 22:8,9; Acts 10:25,26; 14:8-18). ************ -God seeks for us to worship Him in spirit and in truth (see John 4:23, 24). ************ -Worship, no matter how enthusiastic or sincere, is degraded by false concepts of God (see Acts 17:16-32; Romans 10:1-3, 20, 21). ************** -True worship is joyous, pure, reverent, and anchored in Bible truth (see 2Chronicles 7:3; John 17:17; Revelations 7:9-14; Psalms 96: 6, 9). ************* -The Sabbath emphasizes worshiping God because He is our Creator (see Exodus 20:8-11; Genesis 2:1-3). ************* -The final crisis on earth is over the matter of true worship versus false, and God’s Law versus man’s (see Revelations 13: 11-18; 14: 6-12). ************** -To worship God the Creator entails living in complete harmony with all His instructions about life (see 1Corinthians 10:31; Romans 12:1, 2; 1Thessalonians 5:23, 24; John 17: 17; 1John 3: 1-3). **************** -Those who reject God as the Creator and Supreme authority end up worshiping themselves or some other creature. Such worship results in total corruption of character (see Romans 1: 18- 31).
